Tony Khan: All Sponsorship Money From 8/16 AEW Dynamite Will Be Donated To Maui Food Bank

Tony Khan announces that AEW will donate more proceeds to Maui Food Bank.

Khan previously announced that AEW Fight for the Fallen 2023 would begin on the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, and proceeds from the live event would be donated to the Maui Food Bank due to the devastating wildfires in Maui.

Wednesday's show featured the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match between Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy, which was sponsored by "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" video game. The eye-opening bout included a spot with fake blood and a run-in from Leatherface, and Jeff Jarrett emerged victorious.

Following the conclusion of the show, Khan took to social media and announced that all proceeds AEW received from the sponsorship will be donated to Maui Food Bank. He noted that they made plenty of changes to the show in order to help the charity.

In another post, Khan wrote that AEW made many changes by moving Fight for the Fallen up to the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite. He noted that they had already signed for the "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" tie-in, but he felt they needed to get the money to Maui Food Bank this week, and that was the most important thing.

Khan subsequently wrote that all sponsorship money from the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite would ne donated to Maui Food Bank.
