Tony Khan Provides More Details On AEW Continental Classic, Including Scoring Details And Title Situation

Tony Khan have given more details on the AEW Continental Classic.

As announced at AEW Full Gear, the winner of the AEW Continental Classic will be the new ROH World Champion, NJPW Strong Openweight Champion, and AEW Continental Champion. Eddie Kingston, the reigning ROH and NJPW Strong Champion is putting his two titles on the line while the winner will get the Continental Championship.

Khan mentioned the winner being the Triple Crown Champion and that it's a consolidation of titles. The titles will be unified into one title that can be defended in AEW, ROH, and NJPW. The title will be defended throughout the year and whoever holds the title next year will be entered into next year's AEW Continental Classic.

There will be no one allowed at ringside and no interference during the matches.

Winners will receive three points. One point will be awarded to each wrestler for a draw. The loser gets zero points.

The Continental Classic is a round-robin tournament with two groups of six competitors competing. The finals will take place at AEW Worlds End. The tournament is set to begin on November 22.
