Tony Khan Provides Update On Sareee & Persephone’s Statuses In AEW Owen Hart Cup
Updates on Sareee and Persephone’s involvement in the Owen.
The brackets are locked in for All Elite Wrestling’s men’s and women’s 2026 Owen Hart Cup tournament. On the women’s side of the tournament, the matches are listed as follows:
- Persephone vs. Hazuki
- Willow Nightingale vs. Alex Windsor
- Mina Shirakawa vs. Athena
- Skye Blue vs. Sareee
In early May, AEW/ROH owner Tony Khan announced that Persephone was out indefinitely and would not be competing at Supercard of Honor on May 15th. Sareee announced that she was taking a month off from wrestling to tend to a neck injury.
Going into ROH Supercard of Honor, Tony Khan hosted a media call, and he was asked about the statuses of both Persephone and Sareee. He said they are expected to wrestle, and their matches will likely happen in June.
The tournament match between Alex Windsor and TBS Champion Willow Nightingale is scheduled for the Double or Nothing pay-per-view on May 24th.
