Tony Khan Says Adam Cole Is Not 100% But Is Getting Better

Tony Khan comments on Adam Cole's recovery.

Adam Cole suffered an ankle injury at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2023 in September when he jumped off the ramp and landed awkwardly on the floor. Cole has been on AEW programming since the injury, most notably revealing himself as The Devil at AEW Worlds End. At AEW Dynasty, he stood up from his wheel chair and walked, celebrating with Roderick Strong as he defended the AEW International Championship.

Despite his progress on TV, he is not quite 100% according to Tony Khan.

"He's not 100% but he's getting better and better," Khan told Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports. "I think that's great news for AEW. We love Adam Cole and the fans love Adam Cole. He's been a big part of the company now for almost three years of our five-year journey. It's crazy to think Adam Cole, a year ago at this time, really felt like he was getting towards the top of the wrestling world. I would love to get Adam Cole back in the ring and he works so hard on his rehab. He really wants to get back in the ring. I think that would be a great thing for AEW."

It is unknown when Cole will return to the ring.

Though he walked at AEW Dynasty, he has been off television in the lead up to AEW Double or Nothing.
