Tony Khan Says Anthony Bowens Has Been Sidelined With A Knee Injury

There is a reason Anthony Bowens hasn't been in the ring since early March.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan revealed that Bowens has been out of action with a knee injury. He was originally set to return in two weeks, but hasn't been cleared as of yet. He has been on television in the corner of Max Caster for his matches.

Bowens last wrestled on the March 9 episode of AEW Dynamite where he and Caster challenged Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

"I really like Anthony a great deal. He's been injured. We don't think it's anything too long-term, but the truth is, he was supposed to be back by now and that's jammed me up the last couple weeks in planning. He's been out almost a month and they originally thought it was going to be two weeks. It's been a few weeks I've been looking forward to bringing him back. He's recovering from what is hopefully a short-term knee injury," he said.

it is unknown when Bowens will be back in the ring.

Caster is set for action on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite when he takes on CM Punk. Fans can view the current lineup for AEW Dynamite by clicking here.
