Tony Khan Says ‘Stay Tuned’ For Potential AEW Blood & Guts Match Announcements

Tony Khan comments on the whereabouts of a Blood & Guts event for 2025.

Since 2021, AEW has hosted an annual Blood & Guts event. Blood & Guts is the promotion’s take on WarGames. With two rings and a roof on a massive steel cage, the match type is closer to Dusty Rhodes’ original vision for War Games: The Match Beyond, as seen in 1987. The event has been held annually from May to July. However, as of September 21, 2025, no Blood & Guts event has been held or announced.

With no shortage of faction warfare in AEW this year, thanks to Jon Moxley’s Death Riders, fans keep wondering if and when the match will take place this year. Tony Khan has now commented on the possibility of it happening and the logistics of holding such an event.

Speaking at the media scrum following the event, Tony Khan told Mark Webster of Wrestle Thrones that while there are no shows with a double-ring setup confirmed, there’s great potential for such a spectacle, and fans should “stay tuned.”

“I think there is great potential for a Blood & Guts event. It requires a unique seating setup because with a two-ring setup, it involves putting an event on sale, basically telling the people, ‘This is going to be Blood & Guts.’ It’s not a show that is up right now because everyone has seen the seat maps, and there are no double-ring shows up. I do think there is a good chance of that. Please stay tuned.”

Kris Statlander recently spoke to Fightful’s Grapsody about her desire to see a women’s Blood & Guts. Read her comments here.
