Tony Khan: Steiner Math Promo Was All MJF's Idea

On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, MJF paid tribute to the legendary Steiner Math promo cut by Scott Steiner in TNA/IMPACT.

Much like Steiner's original promo in 2008, MJF's math promo was aimed as Samoa Joe, whose odds of beating MJF go drastically down because he's a genetic freak.

Speaking to Insider, Tony Khan revealed the homage was all MJF's idea.

"That particular one was him," Khan said. "Wrestling is all about collaborations and I really enjoy having that connection and the ability to create stories. We were putting down ideas for the week's shows, and he did say that and it was a great idea. That's how I like to put stories together. Sit down with MJF and Adam Cole, the three of us, and talk. I've shot videos with the two of them and they have this great partnership."

Joe did end up beating Scott Steiner at IMPACT Sacrifice.

MJF will hope to avoid disaster at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam when he faces Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship.
