Tony Khan Talks About Bringing Motor City Machine Guns To AEW
Tony Khan comments on bringing Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) to All Elite Wrestling.
In July 2026, Motor City Machine Guns signed with AEW. They showed up on the July 30 edition of Collision in Detroit, which is their hometown. Their next appearance took place at AEW All In, when they came to the ring after Adam Copeland and Christian’s title defense alongside several other tag teams.
During the post-show media scrum for AEW All In, Khan talked more about bringing them to AEW.
“They’re tremendous. I really like the Motor City Machine Guns. I had met them years ago when Kenny [Omega] was traveling as the AEW World Champion and I traveled with him. That’s when I first met them. They’re both great wrestlers. I’ve been a fan of both of them for many years. When they were both free agents, I thought that was a great opportunity and we had a show in Detroit. I thought it would be great for them to come in. Even though they really wanted to be here, come out and be a part of AEW All In: London, they couldn’t resist and I couldn’t resist the opportunity for them to say hello and make the announcement for their hometown fans in Detroit.”
