Tony Schiavone Says He Spoke With Steven Borden, Steven Says He Is Fine After AEW All Out Injury

Steven Borden suffered a scary injury at AEW All Out that caused his tag team match to be stopped. Borden performed a springboard across the ring, trying to meet in the middle with Kevin Knight, but crashed hard to the mat and was seemingly knocked out.

The camera cut away and Borden was taken away on a stretcher. AEW updated fans later in the night to inform them that Borden was taken to the hospital and was doing okay.

On What Happened When, Tony Schiavone gave an update on Steven.

“I talked to Steven just yesterday [Sunday] on the phone. He was fine. He had no headaches, no dizziness. As far as a diagnosis is concerned, that has to come from our doctor. I can tell you, by talking to him, he said, ‘I’m fine.’ He said that ‘in all the years I played football for the University of Kentucky, I never had a concussion or experienced anything like that.’ He was more upset that he thought that he ruined the pay-per-view by what happened. I said, ‘No, you didn’t. We announced it and then announced it again to the crowd. Everybody was very happy that you were okay.’ That really lifted his spirits. How long will be out? I don’t know, I’m sure they will have to check on him before he can get back in there. It was very scary,” he said.

Steven was teaming with Darby Allin against Kevin Knight & Kyle Fletcher.
