Top Dolla Discusses Not Having Swerve Strickland As Part Of Hit Row Return

On the August 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, Hit Row (Top Dolla, B-Fab, & Ashante 'Thee' Adonis) returned to WWE SmackDown.

The group, who were previously aligned with Swerve Strickland, were released by WWE in November 2021 shortly after they were moved from NXT to WWE SmackDown in the 2021 WWE Draft.

Swerve went on to sign with AEW following his WWE release while Top Dolla, B-Fab, and Adonis remained free agents and worked on other projects.

Speaking on Jobbing Out, Top Dolla was asked if there was a "little bit of a bummer" that things didn't work out as originally planned and if there was an "absence" with Swerve not being part of the return.

"Nah, to be honest with you. You have to remember; me, [Ashante], and [B-Fab] have been doing this for over two years. Swerve was added to the crew two weeks before we debuted. When we got released, he told us he wanted to do his own thing, we didn't tell him he couldn't be in Hit Row or the HitMakerz, he said he wanted to do his own thing. So, he's doing his own thing," he said.

Top Dolla referred to the group as the OG3 on the podcast, which is the name they used on SmackDown. Top Dolla previously noted that he and Swerve did a music video together after they were released.
