Trent Beretta On Winning A Title In AEW: One Day I Promise That It's Gonna Happen For Me.

Trent Beretta comments on almost defeating Eddie Kingston for the AEW Continental Championship.

On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Trent was able to win a fatal four way match to earn the number one contenders spot for Eddie Kingston's first defense of the AEW Continental Championship. The match would happen on the January 6th edition of AEW Collision and was a brutal affair to say the least as Trent was busted open during the match.

Despite the blood, Trent still pushed Kingston to his limit, but unfortunately came up short as Kingston was able to capture the victory and successfully defend his title. AEW cameras caught up with Trent backstage after the matchup, and with dried blood still on his face, Trent promised that one day that it was going to happen for him.

"I didn't do it again. Every single time I get put in a match like this I hear 'what is Trent doing in this match?' 'What did he do to earn a spot in this match?' And every single time I prove exactly what I'm doing in matches like that. I almost had Eddie Kingston beat. I didn't beat him right in front of my mom. I fought bleeding right in front of my mom. It's gonna happen for me. One day I promise that it's gonna happen for me."

Beretta is no stranger to championship matches in All Elite Wrestling at this stage in his career, but has yet to be able to capture one under the companies umbrella.
