Trey Miguel: You Don't See IMPACT Guys Popping Up Elsewhere, People Don't F*ck With Us Like That

The "forbidden door" has been open for over two years now with wrestlers from various promotions popping up in other promotions.

During the pandemic, IMPACT Wrestling and AEW formed a partnership with Kenny Omega winning the IMPACT World Title, appearing on IMPACT programming, and bringing the belt to AEW. While Omega was constantly on IMPACT TV, his upcoming IMPACT opponents (Sami Callihan, Rich Swann, and Moose) were not featured on AEW television.

Speaking on Out of Focus, Trey Miguel discussed the forbidden door when asked which era he prefers between today's wrestling and the Attitude Era.

"The main thing that makes today's wrestling so special is how willing companies are to work with each other. You see AEW popping up at New Japan, New Japan popping up at IMPACT. You don't really see IMPACT guys popping up anywhere else, people don't fuck with us like that. It's cool. People want to drop in on us, but we don't get to go nowhere," he said.

When asked if IMPACT wrestlers weren't allowed to go elsewhere, Miguel said, "That's not it. You'll see a tweet go out, 'Oh, anyone is invited,' but no one is invited [from IMPACT]. There's a list this big of guys, Sami Callihan went there, Moose went there, and the Good Brothers, but that's it, but the list is huge from guys that have come in."

Miguel said he preferred the Attitude Era as wrestlers could push the envelope and were also appearing on different shows.

IMPACT talent has appeared on NJPW shows and Mickie James, the reigning Knockouts Champion at the time, was in the women's Royal Rumble.

Josh Alexander recently commented that he was supposed to appear on AEW TV, but the plan fell through. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
