Trick Williams and Joe Hendry make it official.
Trick Williams and Joe Hendry signed the contract for their TNA Championship bout at NXT Battleground on the May 13th episode of NXT.
Hendry said that his goal is to make TNA the biggest brand it can be and explained the significance of the TNA Title being defended on an NXT PLE. Trick said he's bigger than the match, the title, TNA, and NXT, referring to himself as Hollywood Trick.
"I'm gonna take your title, and I'm going to take your brand," stated Trick.
Hendry said that NXT Battleground is the most important match of Trick's career because there is no path for him to the NXT Title and after he loses at NXT Battleground, there will be no path to the TNA Title.
"If anyone is going to find out what it's like for their 15 minutes of fame to expire, it's Trick Williams," said Hendry.
The segment was shot in a room backstage with NXT general manager Ava and not in front of the live crowd. Thus, no one went through a table.
