Throughout the Attitude Era, WWE would produce several of their biggest stars in their history, including The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. For one current breakout WWE star, he was deeply inspired by those stars.
While speaking to News 19 WLTX in a new interview, Trick Williams was asked about where his desire to become a WWE star came from, discussing how Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock influenced him.
“I grew up, I watched the Attitude Era. Stone Cold, The Rock, all these guys. So my first cuss word, I ain’t going to say it, but I opened a can of Whoop-Aid at three years old. So seeing them and watching The Rock, the way they can control the crowd, the way their music drop and the people just go crazy, I said, ‘I want that for myself,’ and here we are.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Trick spoke about where he gets his confidence from as a performer. You can read more about that here.
