Trick Williams says he feels like Thanos.

Since becoming TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Trick Williams has leaned further and further into his dark side, aligning with First Cla$$ in order to keep the championship from returning to a TNA roster member. However, Williams finds himself to be a hero portrayed as a villain, something he shares with Marvel villain Thanos.

While speaking to PWInsider in a new interview, Trick spoke about his reign as TNA World Champion, noting that the feels like Thanos, collecting his infinity stones and doing ‘good’.

“I feel like Thanos,” he said. “I’m collecting my Infinity Stones and trying to bring good to the world. I’m trying to bring good to TNA by gaining exposure, bringing it to our 800,000 fans tuned in on NXT every single Tuesday. We trying to move seats. We try to move tickets, and that’s what Trick Williams does for your brand.”

Despite his heel run and likening to Thanos, Trick is offended by the idea of him possibly being the leader of NXT faction Dark State.

“The audacity of Ava accusing me of being the leader of Dark State when I got jumped by them… Man, I don’t jump people behind their back,” Trick said. “Since I came into this game, Mike, I’ve never just jumped people from behind. I always make myself loud and clear. I step in the room, I do my entrance, we whoop that Trick, and then I do exactly that.”

Williams is currently set to team with his TNA Slammiversary opponents Mike Santana and Joe Hendry to take on Dark State in six man tag team action. You can read more about that here.
