Trick Williams shares why his coat has become a major part of his presentation, sharing how he was pushed to continue wearing it.

Since making his debut on the WWE main roster as part of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Trick Williams has been dressed in a big, white coat that has become a staple of his entrances. However, it was not initially meant to become that.

While speaking to First Take in a new interview, Trick Williams was asked about his coat and shared that he originally wasn’t going to wear it weekly.

“Well, you know, ironically, when I debuted on SmackDown, I put on this white hair, this white meat coat, and I stepped out and I wanted to make a point to everybody, and it was widely accepted. I interrupted Sami Zayn and he’s hated me ever since, and the next Friday, I put on a new fit. Triple H told me, he said, ‘where’s your coat?’ I was thinking to myself, you know, it ain’t my coat. It’s a coat, you know, and I let that slide. Bruce Prichard, ‘he comes over and said, where’s your coat?’ I’m like, oh. Michael Hayes, where’s your coat? Oh, I get it now. He said, ‘I ain’t never seen Elvis Presley without his coat.’ You know what I mean? I’m like, gotcha. I got it. This is my coat, and then I call myself ‘The Anointed One.’ So, how more fitting is it than Trick Williams to wear all white every single time you see him? Let’s talk about it.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Trick shared how his mom is trying to get healthy after a knee replacement to attend his first WrestleMania. You can read more about that here.
