Triple H Believes Raw And SmackDown Will Move To A Large Venue If They Leave The ThunderDome

On Sunday at NXT TakeOver, the gold and yellow brand moved to the Performance Center and renamed it the Capitol Wrestling Center.

The CWC had an underground feel mixed with new technology as the lights were down low but a giant LED screen allowed virtual fans to take in the action.

With the WWE's deal with Amway Center -- branded as the ThunderDome by WWE -- expiring at the end of the month, Triple H was asked about Raw or SmackDown moving to the CWC.

"I think ThunderDome and Raw and SmackDown having a different vibe and feel is important," Triple H said on the post-NXT TakeOver 31 media call. "If they move from Amway, I think that will be to a larger facility, if that happens and it will maintain being the ThunderDome and will be different in that unique standpoint. For us, in this venue -- I want to stress how great our partnership is with Full Sail and that we still have it and utilize that in every way we can -- part of this was wanting to be able to do what we're doing here and not being able to have the ability to do that and being able to move it. This kind of layout needs to have a residency and we can do that here. As far as the protocols, we continue to take every precaution we can. We work with the CDC, we work with local officials, our medical staff, and they create protocols that we follow. All the people in the building were scanned and tested before they walked through the door. They were kept in pods and separated. We took every precaution we can to for their health and safety and our talent, staff, and crew were safe."

Raw and SmackDown have been at the ThunderDome since August 21. NXT will continue to hold events at the CWC for the foreseeable future.
