Speaking to Cathy Kelley, Triple H weighed in on WWE locking up Velasquez.

"Whenever you can get the level of an athlete of Cain Velasquez, it's a Ronda Rousey moment. He's now a WWE superstar and fully engaged with us. The biggest thing for me is world-class athletes. To be able to take WWE to that next level of athleticism. When you talk about Cain Velasquez, the elite of the elite. Getting him to be apart of WWE is huge."

Velasquez made his WWE debut on Oct. 4, confronting Brock Lesnar to close the SmackDown premiere on Fox. In storyline, Velasquez is the Godfather of Rey Mysterio's son Dominick. Velasquez is looking to avenge the Mysterio family for Lesnar's attack.

Lesnar and Velasquez have a history dating back to 2010 when Cain defeated Brock inside the Octagon to capture the UFC Heavyweight Title.

On the subject on Ronda Rousey, Triple H noted that she will be coming back to WWE, but gave no timetable for her return.
