Triple H Doesn't Try To Look At Himself As The Boss, Says He Makes Decisions Based On Logic

Triple H on what it takes to be the boss.

Along with being an in-ring performer, Triple H is the man who runs things at NXT as the founder and senior producer. As the head honcho of NXT, Triple H is tasked with making the tough decisions. Speaking to Sam Roberts on the NotSam Wrestling podcast, 'The Game' revealed how he goes about making those decisions.

"I don't necessarily try to look at myself as anybody's boss. I try to look at myself in the role of -- this is a business where everybody has to work together to try and get stuff done. It's a giant team. At some point in time, somebody has to make the final decision on things. Whether popular or unpopular, you have to make the final decision and it's gonna be solid, and stick to it. Nobody really understands that role until they have that role. You can think when you're in the number two spot, 'this is so obvious, I would do this.' But when the pressure is on you to have that decision, the dynamic absolutely changes," he said.

When asked if he second-guesses some of his decisions, Triple H replied, "The truth is, you don't know if the other [decision] would have worked better. As long as I feel like I can defend my position of, 'here's what I'm telling you, and here's why I'm telling it to you.' As long as you have that logical reasoning behind you, somebody might say 'I disagree with the outcome,' okay, but here's how I got there. It's not like I made this stuff up and decided I don't like you. There's a logical reason for it. As long as you're there, you just have to make your decision and stick by it."

NXT airs live on USA Network every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. Fightful provides live coverage of the show each week.
