Triple H: The Door Is Open For Rob Gronkowski To Join WWE

Triple H comments on the possibility of Rob Gronkowski joining WWE.

Rob Gronkowski is gearing up for another Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, but that hasn't stopped football fans from speculating on Gronk's next move. The football future of the 29-year-old tight end has been in question due to reports that Gronkowski was set to retire last offseason if the Patriots traded him and his injury history. Gronkowski returned for his ninth NFL season but with just one game remaining on the schedule, fans are already wondering what could be next.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Triple H discussed Gronkowski possibly joining WWE.

“Rob is very close with one of our stars, Mojo Rawley,” said Triple H. “We’ve met a few times, and he’s actually come down to the Performance Center and even done stuff with us at WrestleMania. He’s a great guy, an incredible player, and it’s hard not to root for him. I’ll be watching him, but that’s also because my wife is a massive Patriots fan.”

Triple H continued, “Gronk has mentioned WWE before, that he loves it and said had so much fun doing it. I don’t know if it’s something he’d be seriously interested in, but that’s how the conversation started with Ronda Rousey, too. Certainly the door is open for him at WWE.”

Gronkowski famously appeared at WrestleMania 33, interfering in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal to help Rawley win. A recent report suggested that Gronkowski joining WWE is "unlikely" and that he's more likely to try and become a movie star.
