Triple H Says Chyna Deserves To Be In The WWE Hall Of Fame With DX And As An Individual Star

Triple H opens up about Chyna being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as a member of DX.

World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed that on April 6th during WrestleMania 35 weekend, D-Generation X will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. The variation of the group that is receiving the honor consists of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, Billy Gunn and Brian "Road Dogg" James.

Although the group is going in as a whole, the wrestling world IS buzzing about the former two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion Chyna being inducted into the Hall. Chyna had been on the outs with WWE leading up to her untimely passing in April of 2016. A video was recently released by a friend of her's which featured Chyna stating that she wanted to make amends with WWE and that video was recorded two months before her passing. NXT founder and senior producer Triple H chatted with ESPN to promote the news about DX's induction and spoke about Chyna being honored with the group. Chyna's family has lobbied with WWE for years to put her into the Hall Of Fame and Triple H agreed that Chyna deserves the honor and should probably go in as an individual as well.

"Look, people believe what they want to believe. When I said a few years ago on the Austin podcast, or show, or whatever you want to call it, there's complexities around it," Levesque said. "But absolutely definitely deserves to be in there. It'd be tough to pick a female that was more impactful on the business. She did something that was completely so out of left field that it wasn't even being considered when we first brought it up for her to come in. It wasn't even a consideration ... it wasn't an easy thing, and against all odds she did all of that. She earned everybody's trust. She won over the fans. She won over the boys. She did all of it." He continued, "From that standpoint, absolutely 100 percent deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame, and should probably be more than once -- as a group, but individually as well. There's more complexity to that than meets the eye, but here we are. I'm just happy that it's here. I'm happy for her family, the people that she was close to, that hopefully this is super-meaningful to them. I know it would be to her. It's a great thing -- very deserving."
