AND WE'RE TALKING OURSELVES INTO IT
ALL OVER AGAIN
Triple H was a guest on Sportscenter this morning to promote WrestleMania 33. He talked about Seth Rollins, about the pressure he puts on himself to be the best, and whether he appreciates it now more than he did earlier in his career.
And then, because we just can't seem to get away from this subject, he talked about the presumably-now-cancelled (but-apparently-maybe-not) match between The Big Show and Shaq.
"It's a funny thing that we have conversations with Shaq all the time, I think he and Big Show are having a lot of fun egging each other on. Who would've thought both Shaq and Big Show would've both had abs, they've talked themselves into both getting in shape. It's phenomenal. It's a win win for both of them whether it happens or not. I think it's all on Shaq and Big Show and what they really want to do. Right now I think they're just poking each other."
They're just poking each other?
Big Show calling Shaquille O'Neal "Princess Shaq" is just "poking" each other?
This isn't Facebook in 2008, Hunter. They're not "poking" each other.
But seriously, though. I thought we were done with this.
Big Show formally entered his name in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal (or, as I called it last night on the podcast, The Andre The Jort Memorial Boil) and that's not a thing you can't just back out of. Big Show doesn't back out of things once he commits to them. Who do you think he is, Shaquille O'Neal?
Look, just stop teasing us, already. We thought it was over, you told us it wasn't going to happen, and just when we we thought we were out, you pulled us back in.
I WAS WILLING TO MOVE ON, DAMMIT. I HAD BUILT A LIFE FOR MYSELF WITHOUT YOU, SHOW/SHAQ MATCH. Sure, I still cry in the night sometimes when I roll over and you're not there to hold me, but I was making progress. I WAS DOING BETTER.
But now this.
Triple H is saying there's still a chance that Big Show and Shaq could really have this match.
I don't even know what to think at this point.
No, wait. Yes I do.
