Triple H: Undertaker Was Always Supportive Of My Relationship With Stephanie McMahon

When Triple H and Stephanie McMahon began dating in the early 2000s after being paired together on-screen, Triple H received plenty of backlash online from fans who believed he was using his relationship to protect his spot or push himself.

Some in the locker room may have even questioned Triple H's motives at the time. But not arguably the most important voice in the locker room.

"He was a locker room leader and a sounding board for things. When Steph and I got together and started to have a relationship, the guy I talked to about it was Taker," said Triple H on The Last Ride. "He was one of the most supportive guys of it. He was like, 'Screw everybody and their opinions. You know what you bring to the table and so do I. If they don't like it, that's their problem.' He was in our wedding. At a certain point in time you find yourselves being two of the things that are just always there. If you walk into the locker room, the one guy who could relate to everything you've been through in the last 20-25 years was Taker. We don't have a day-to-day buddy-buddy hangout, but I could look over and see him in Gorilla, see that he's in his own head, and talk to him about it."

The Undertaker and Triple H have been rivals on-screen since Triple H's rise to the main event in late 1999 and early 2000. They've famously worked three WrestleMania matches against each other with Undertaker getting his hand raised each time.

The Undertaker said about the relationship between him and Triple H, "Do we call each other every day and see how each other's lives are going? No. But I think he knows, if he ever needed anything, he could call me, and I would be there. That goes both ways."

On a previous episode of The Last Ride, Undertaker revealed that Triple H helped give him his confidence back after WrestleMania 30 by speaking to him prior to WrestleMania 31 and his bout against Bray Wyatt. Triple H also helped produce the Boneyard match at WrestleMania 36 between Undertaker and AJ Styles.
