Becky Lynch and Lita have their sights set on the gold.
On the February 20, 2023 edition of WWE Raw, Bayley hosted a special edition of her "Ding Dong, Hello" talk show, with Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) as her guests. She briefly highlighted her frustration due to her lack of a spot in the Womeb's Elimination Chamber. Bayley then highlighted the success of Kai and SKY. Becky Lynch interrupted and made it clear that she wants to challenge for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, and Lita came out to back her up.
Lynch made it clear that she apologized to Lita following their previous feud. Lita noted that she liked the idea of joining forces with Lynch. She challenged Kai and SKY to a title match. Bayley shot her down, but Lynch pressed on and accused the champions of being scared. Bayley then accepted the challenge.

WWE later confirmed the title match for the February 27 episode of WWE Raw.
Lita previously returned to WWE on the February 6 episode of WWE Raw. There, the WWE Hall of Famer helped Lynch defeat Bayley in a Steel Cage Match.
Kai and SKY are currently in their second reign as the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. They have held the titles since they dethroned Alexa Bliss and Asuka at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5, 2022.
