Lynch then said that Stratus was everything she hoped she would never become. She said she has had a career that only Stratus could dream of, whereas Stratus has done things that would give her nightmares. Stratus first started her feud with Lynch after the two lost the Women's Tag Team Championships on the April 10 episode of Raw. After the match, Stratus attacked Lynch when she turned to walk out of the ring. Lynch missed a few weeks, but she returned and attacked Stratus on the May 8 episode of WWE Raw.
