Trish Stratus Comments On The Differences Between WWE's Female Stars Of The Past And Present

A few days left to go before 'Evolution'!

This upcoming Sunday at WWE 'Evolution' Trish Stratus will team up with fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Lita to take on Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. The return to the ring for the first time since the Women's Royal Rumble for Lita and Trish and is highly anticipated. Trish Stratus was recently a part of a media call and on that call were the folks over at 'Inside The Ropes' and a representative of the channel asked Trish to explain the differences between the women's wrestlers from her time to the current crop of wrestlers now. Trish stated that one of the things that separates the two is that the WWE Performance Center is so critical to the developmental of today's stars and further elaborated on that.

“I would definitely say there’s a different level of athleticism. I think… I don’t know. Maybe because they come from this… they’ve been training since the Performance Center and ready for the big leagues." She said. "It’s kind of a different thing. Not to say we weren’t, but we were never like, we didn’t know when we were gonna wrestle and then we trained our butts off for it. Of course everyone’s athletes and we do our regular training but, I think the girls - they have more regular matches than we did, and I just think the training they’ve done is a little more sort of wrestling intensive - is a little more different than what we used to do back in the day and they have the opportunity to go to the Performance Center if they want to.” Trish said.
