Trish Stratus shares how her daughter wanted to be a wrestler until she found out that competing in the sport would hurt.

Stratus is one of the most legendary women’s wrestlers of all time and in recent years has worked several matches, with her kids getting the opportunity to see her wrestle in said matches.

While speaking to The Toronto Sun in a new interview, Trish Stratus spoke about how her daughter Maddie wanted to be a pro wrestler until she found out it hurt.

“People were like, ‘oh, do you want to be a wrestler?’ She’s (her daughter Maddie) kind of like, ‘Yeah, kind of.’ But then she was like, ‘Oh, wait, so you can get hurt? Yeah. No, I don’t want to do that.’ Like, she goes, ‘I want to be a wrestler, but, like, I don’t want to get hurt.’ I’m like, ‘okay, well, it’s out for you then.’ So, yeah, she’s not going to be a wrestler. She was like, ‘okay, so how come when she did that move, why didn’t you just roll out of the way?’ I’m like, ‘I was selling.’ Like, I don’t know what to say. She saw- like, no filter. She just saw it for what it was, and she’s like, ‘You need to just avert. You need to avert. You got to, like, dodge and weave.’ I’m like, ‘okay.’”

Stratus also named her favorite WrestleMania moment of her career in a previous interview. You can read more about that here.
