Tucker Says Heavy Machinery Getting Over On Their Own Was The Reason They Didn’t Win Tag Titles

Tucker says that because Heavy Machinery got over on their own, they were not afforded opportunities.

Heavy Machinery had a strong run at the start of 2020 that would see Otis become one of the most popular characters on SmackDown and would even see Otis become Mr. Money in the Bank. Ultimately, the team broke up because of the WWE Draft and Tucker would even turn on Otis at Hell in a Cell.

Ultimately, Tucker would be released earlier this year. Now, speaking on The Angle Podcast, he is reflecting on his run with Heavy Machinery, Tucker, now known as Levi Cooper, proclaimed that he believes that he and Otis never won the Tag Team Championship because they were over organically.

“At the risk of sounding arrogant, I think maybe a part of the reason we didn’t get those was that we were able to get over on our own. Hey, this big babyface team you listen to the crowd when we come out they love us, they’re all about us. You don’t need to put the straps on us for them. Championships for the lack of a better term television prop. It’s the prize that’s fought over. You need something when there’s an antagonist and protagonist and they have a conflict.”
