Tully Blanchard Says No One Would Come To Him And Arn Anderson For Advice In AEW

Tully Blanchard joined AEW in 2019, managing Shawn Spears during his feud with Cody Rhodes and then continuing with Spears and The Pinnacle (FTR, MJF, Spears, & Wardlow) when it formed.

Blanchard would remain with FTR until 2021 when they "fired" him, leaving him to form Tully Blanchard Enterprises in ROH. He "sold" TBE to Prince Nana, who reformed The Embassy.

Blanchard is a Hall of Famer and praised as one of the greatest tag team wrestler of all-time. Despite his success in wrestling, he claims no one asked him for advice.

"Nobody. As far as I know, Arn or myself, nobody ever came to us," Tully told Wrestling Shoot Interviews when asked if anyone in AEW came to him for advice.

Asked what advice he would give had they asked, he said, “I don’t know that…my mind and the world that I came from in this business, I don’t know if there’s anything that I could offer. Because I don’t know how to do what they do. Because it is a, ‘Okay, I’m gonna do this, and the fans have to cheer for it or boo it, or be quiet.’ But the match never changes. Whereas if I did something and the fans didn’t react, I changed course right then. But I had that ability because my job was to make people scream. I don’t know that they really know how to do that [be spontaneous] anymore."

Elsewhere during the interview, Blanchard called FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) the best tag team right now.
