Two NXT Mainstays To Be Featured On 1/13/22 WWE Main Event

NXTs invades WWE Main Event on Thursday, January 14, 2022.

Tommaso Ciampa recently lost his NXT Championship to Bron Breakker. Prior to this, Ciampa had always stated that he had no interest in going to the main roster. Now, he will be featured on the next episode of WWE Main Event and he isn't the only NXT mainstay who will be. Pete Dunne, someone Ciampa just fought alongside inside WarGames on December 5, 2021, will also be on WWE Main Event this week.

Ciampa will face T-BAR, while Pete Dunne goes against Akira Tozawa on WWE’s Hulu-exclusive program. These matches were taped prior to the January 10 episode of Monday Night Raw. Being featured on WWE Main Event doesn't always guarantee being called up to the main roster. In recent months, Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, and Bronson Reed have all been featured on WWE Main Event. Dakota has yet to be called up. Kross and Bronson are now released and Bronson never even made it to the main roster.
