Breeze competed against NXT talent Marcel Barthel and emerged victorious in his return to the black-and-yellow brand. In his post-match promo Tyler Breeze stated that although some of the fans' favorites eventually end up going to RAW or SmackDown the majority of them started off in NXT. He closed with saying that he will see the fans next week.

Prior to this match Tyler Breeze's last bout in NXT was at TakeOver: Respect in October of 2015 where he lost to Apollo Crews and after the match found out that he was headed to the main roster. Breeze was moved to the RAW brand as a part of the 2018 WWE 'Superstar Shake-Up' and is bringing the party to live audiences with his partner of two-years, Fandango.
