Tyler Breeze Says Leaving Main Roster To Return To NXT Was "One Of The Easiest Choices" Of His Life

Breeze is glad to be back in NXT but has major goals to accomplish.

Tyler Breeze made his return to the NXT brand at the television tapings in May and challenged Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American Championship at TakeOver XXV. NXT founder and senior producer Triple H confirmed during the pre-TakeOver XXV media call that Breeze is officially a member of the NXT roster again. The buildup to Dream versus Breeze featured a number of comments from Dream having to do with Tyler not thriving on the main roster. Breeze was set on proving that he was uninspired as opposed to him simply not succeeding on RAW and/or SmackDown and he explained during his interview with WWE.com that the decision to return to NXT was one of the easiest choices of his life.

"One of the easiest choices of my life. I was built here. I was born here. Anytime I’ve ever questioned where I’m going, I head back home to NXT to get clarity. I head back home to recharge and reassess, and every single time it’s paid off. I trust myself. I trust my skill. I trust my passion. I trust NXT." He said.

"Prince Pretty" feels that in one night (NXT TakeOver XXV), he reminded everyone what he was capable of. He said the only adjustment that had to be made was standing on his own ten and doing what he always knew he could do.

"Let me just say this: In one night, at NXT TakeOver: XXV, I refreshed everyone’s memory and that right there lies the problem, or at least one of them. More than anything else, people said, 'Wow, I forgot Tyler Breeze was capable of that.' You know who didn’t forget? Me. Imagine trying to tell everyone what you know is true and everyone calling you a liar." Breeze said. "Now imagine everyone suddenly believes you. How would you feel? Do you side with the fair-weather masses and smile for the short time before people 'forget' again? Or do you stand on your feet like you have the entire time and continue to show what you’ve known all along. That is the only adjustment for me." He said.

NXT held television tapings last night at Full Sail and those tapings will continue tonight as the brand is on the road to NXT TakeOver: Toronto in August.
