Tyrese Haliburton & Seth Rollins Interrupt Jalen Brunson & Roman Reigns At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Reigns Fights Off Rollins

Roman Reigns and Jalen Brunson were confronted by Tyrese Haliburton and Seth Rollins.

The closing segment of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden in New York City featured World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and 2026 NBA Finals MVP and NBA Champion, New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.

There was a video package for Brunson that was narrated by Super Bowl-winning New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning. Brunson was called the ‘King of New York.’ Brunson got his own entrance with a special ring introduction. Brunson stopped past a picture of Danhausen and gave the photo a nod.

The NBA Finals MVP was met with a round of applause from a multitude of people backstage, including fellow New York Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns, who earlier in the night helped Danhausen fight off Dominik Mysterio and defeat J.D. McDonagh.

Reigns then met Brunson at the curtain, and they walked out together. In the ring, Reigns big-upped Brunson’s accolades. He said it takes a whole team to get the job done, but there’s only one O.T.C., and there’s only one MVP.

Reigns proceeded to gift Brunson a custom New York Knicks-inspired WWE World Heavyweight Title belt. He then told Madison Square Garden to acknowledge them both.

Seth Rollins’ music hit. Rollins is set to challenge Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, but coming out to Rollins’ music was NBA Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton with a steel chair in hand.

Rollins showed up and attacked Reigns from behind. He told Brunson to stay in the corner. Brunson would step in front of Rollins as he was about to hit The Stomp on Reigns, and that gave Reigns enough time to recover and Superman Punch Rollins.

The NBA Finals trophy was then brought into the ring. Reigns put both title belts on Brunson while he held up the trophy.
