Tyron Woodley Says Triple H Loved Him At His WWE Tryout, Conversations Were Shelved Due To Pandemic
Tyron Woodley is a former UFC welterweight champion who has since transitioned to the world of boxing, but he nearly made it to pro wrestling.
Speaking to Betting Lounge, Woodley was asked if he had any interest in going the WWE route.
“Hell yeah! You can do WWE 360. I actually did a tryout for the WWE a long time ago, before Ronda had already been in the WWE. I did a WWE camp in LA, and that sh*t hurt. That’s the reason my back was hurting from that damn rope. I killed it. Triple H loved me. But then during the pandemic, they got rid of their training facility, so then the conversation kind of got shelved. But, yeah, I would do WWE,” he said.
Woodley previously boxed against Jake Paul, and he’d be open to doing a tag team match against Jake and his brother Logan Paul.
Asked who his partner would be, Woodley replied, “Bring Yoel Romero, f*** that. I’m bringing somebody that I’m scared of. I’m bringing his ass. Yoel Romero all day.”
Woodley is set to fight Anderson Silva on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua. Fans can learn more here.
