Tyson Kidd Transitioning To Backstage Producer Role

Former Tag Team Champion Tyson Kidd hasn't wrestled since badly injuring his neck in a match against Samoa Joe in 2015, but WWE has found a new role for him--that of backstage producer.

It was reported earlier this week by Pro Wrestling Sheet that Tyson Kidd was being transitioned into a non-wrestling role with the company, but at the time, it wasn't clear what role that would be--backstage or perhaps an on-screen manager type of situation.

Now, PWInsider is reporting that Kidd was backstage at both RAW and SmackDown this week, learning the ropes and getting an idea of what being a producer would entail. This was his first week on the job, and he's still in training.

It should be noted as well that Kidd told a fan this week that he'll be back on Total Divas with his wife Natalya for the upcoming Season 7 after having been absent from Season 6.
