The Undertaker says he wishes he could wrestle Roman Reigns in a full program now that Roman Reigns has developed a new side of his character.

The Undertaker and Roman Reigns had a match at the 2017 WrestleMania which would later become the central focus of the Last Ride documentary on WWE Network. Undertaker harped on the poor physical condition he was in at the time leading to the quality of the match suffering.

Undertaker would later also say he would’ve loved for Roman Reigns to be the one to end the streak and now, Mark Calaway tells Sports Illustrated he wishes he had the ability to have one full program as the Undertaker with Roman Reigns.

“I’m so proud of where he is,” says Mark Calaway, who had an iconic 30-year run in WWE as The Undertaker. “The night of Survivor Series [in November], I went up to Roman and Jey and said, ‘This is the most compelling story that we’ve done in a while.’ And where he’s been able to take it, it’s so good. It’s not forced. Roman is hitting on all cylinders.”

He added, “I think he’s a great heel—coldhearted, calculated. There is a compelling backstory and you still feel the tension when Roman appears. Like I said, I’m really proud of him. I wish I had the gas in the tank to work a program with him now. It would definitely be something special.”

Currently, Roman Reigns is reportedly going to face legends this summer. Reigns is slated for a match against a former World Champion at Hell in a Cell and a potential match with John Cena at SummerSlam. Learn more here.
