The Undertaker Thought Of Jumping To WCW, But His Loyalty To Vince McMahon Was Too Strong

The Undertaker is heralded for his loyalty to WWE as he never jumped shipped to WCW when it was the "cool" thing to do.

But just because he never went over to the other side doesn't mean the thoughts weren't in his mind after a long WWE run where a move could have freshened him up.

"There was a time," said Undertaker on the Not Sam Wrestling podcast with Sam Roberts when asked if he ever considered going to WCW. "I was so frustrated with our creative direction. We had a bunch of really goofy characters and they're down there doing some real angles. It was common knowledge that they opened up the checkbook. I'm hearing guys talks about the money they're making. You'd be able to write a good check and stay at home most of the time. Those thoughts were there, but when it got down to it, I said, 'I can't.' I'm not the best businessman, but something inside of me said, 'You can't leave here.'"

Undertaker went to recall his previous dealings with WCW when management included Jim Herd, Ole Anderson, and Jim Barnett where he was told "no one will ever pay to see you wrestle" and how that soured him despite it being a different regime when the checkbooks opened.

He concluded by saying, "My loyalty to Vince was stronger than the short-term cash I could have made had I left.?

On an episode of The Last Ride, Vince McMcMahon and Undertaker discussed their loyalty to each other. You can find their full comments by clicking here.
