Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match Made Official For 6/30 WWE SmackDown

On the June 16 episode of WWE SmackDown, five teams battled for the right to be Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens’ next challengers for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles. The gauntlet included LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde), Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince), The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus & Ridge Holland), The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson), and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford).

Chase Owens And KENTA Win IWGP Tag Team Titles At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku

The match started with The Brawling Brutes taking on The Street Profits. After a Brogue Kick from Sheamus to Angelo Dawkins, The Brutes advanced to the next round where they faced The OC. Sheamus would proceed to win another round with a Brogue Kick, pinning Karl Anderson. LWO would then enter the match, but would be eliminated by The Brutes quickly. Not to be outdone, Hit Row would come in the ring and be eliminated instantly after Top Dolla was hit with a Brogue Kick. The finale between The Brawling Brutes and Pretty Deadly ended with a leg drop to the back of Sheamus' head, earning Pretty Deadly the victory.

Prince and Wilson will get their title opportunity on the July 30 episode of SmackDown in London, England. The updated card for that show can be seen below.

  • WWE Women's Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
  • WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson)

Owens and Zayn won the Undisputed Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39, defeating The Usos in the main event of night one. This past Monday on Raw they successfully defended their titles against Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium.
