University Of Kentucky Highlights Event With 'Pro Wrestling Fun' Ahead Of 2022 Music City Bowl

Worlds collided ahead of the Music City Bowl.

In a tweet on November 30, the University of Kentucky's football team shared a video package of a wrestling event that as held in conjunction with the 25th Annual TransPerfect Music City Bowl. Several wrestlers were shown in the video, but they were not named.

Specific details about the event are currently unclear.

Sigmon, who teams up with Elliot Russell as the Heatseekers, tweeted a picture in which he can be seen driving to the show. He stated that they were "Nashville bound" and ready to deliver a "true tag team wrestling experience" for the Music City Bowl crew.

Previously, Sigmon and other wrestlers competed at the show in both 2017 and 2019. The 2017 private event was promoted by Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling. Jarrett, James Storm, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and Jerry "The King" Lawler were advertised for the "Players Party" show. More information is available here.

Global Force Wrestling initially announced its partnership with the Music City Bowl in 2016.

The Iowa Hawkeyes (7-5) will face the Kentucky Wildcats (7-5) in the 2022 Music City Bowl on December 31. The game will be held at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, and kickoff is set for noon ET.
