Shane Helms had some words to say after someone trashed pro wrestling pretty hard.
During Complex Magainze's Youtube show Out of Bounds, the subject of Ronda Rousey possibly heading to WWE for a match was brought up. One person, ex-porn actress Mia Khalifa, was negative about her prospects in WWE and about WWE and professional wrestling in general:
“This is where her career will go to die" she said. "I have no respect for the WWE. I don’t think it’s a real sport. You go from real fights to wearing a sequin unitard and pretending to fight?”
Plenty of people within the pro wrestling community had something to say about her comments, though in the end it's just one person's opinion on the profession. Shane Helms summed it up:
It's currently unknown what Ronda Rousey's status is right now regarding her future, wether it be in the UFC or WWE. We've reported in the past that she has been training, and it's entirely possible we could see her wrestling in the next year.
In a bit of an update, Lucha Underground star Kobra Moon tweeted Khalifa an extended an invitation for Mia to attend a local wrestling show. In a surprising move, Khalifa accepted.
