Update On WWE UK Division: TV Taping Schedule, Live Event Plans, Signings, More

WWE currently has three touring brands -- Raw, Smackdown, and NXT -- and will add a fourth later this year when the WWE UK division truly gets rolling.

According to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is planning to hold live events twice per month in the United Kingdom after the WWE UK Championship Series officially begins.

Citing unnamed sources, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that WWE intends to hold TV tapings for the UK division every six weeks, while running live events every other week.

Pro Wrestling Sheet also reports that several of the top WWE UK competitors have been signed to updated contracts. These contracts will allow those talents to work whenever needed for NXT, whether it be on the road or at the WWE Performance Center. That list of wrestlers to sign new deals includes current UK Champion Pete Dunne, former champ Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Wolfgang, and Mark Andrews.

Dunne and Bate had a widely praised match for the UK Title last month at NXT Takeover: Chicago.

A date for the next round of tapings for the WWE UK brand has not been announced. However, Jim Ross revealed last month that he will be providing commentary for upcoming events for the WWE United Kingdom division.
