US Bank Stadium Roof Issue Not Expected To Impact WWE SummerSlam 2026

An update on the stadium that is hosting SummerSlam.
There’s a story up on The Minnesota Star Tribune which notes that the roof of U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the home of WWE SummerSlam 2026, needs to be replaced.
Hail damage is forcing the stadium owners to repair a sizable portion of the roof. It has been damaged since August 2023. An engineering firm determined that the damage does not affect the roof’s structural performance or safety.
The following statement is from the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority:
“All Minnesotans can be confident that the roof at U.S. Bank Stadium is safe, that proactive steps are in place to preserve its unique environment, and the MSFA’s financial safeguards have protected this public investment.”
WrestleVotes noted that a source relayed to them that the issue is not expected to impact SummerSlam in any way. WWE has been informed by city officials that the roof remains structurally safe.
SummerSlam 2026 is a two-night event on August 1st and 2nd.
