Wade Boggs Confirms Curt Hennig Saved His Life During Hunting Accident

Curt Hennig was a guardian angel for Wade Boggs.

Instagram account Greatest Show On Dirt posted the following story regarding the baseball Hall of Famer and “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig.

“Wade Boggs and Curt Hennig were legit best buds. They both lived in Tampa and were very close friends. One time, when they were deer huntin’ in Iowa, Wade got tangled up in some barbed wire. Curt got him out, and Wade was split open from his knee to his ankle. He was losing a lot of blood. Curt picked him up and carried him on his shoulders about three miles to the pickup truck and got him to the hospital. Saved his life right then and there. Wade said Curt was his guardian angel.”

Boggs was asked about the story, and confirmed it to be true.
