Christian had his fingers on the title after Wardlow hit a swanton on the outside, but Arn Anderson shoved him off and into a powerbomb by Wardlow. With Christian and Luchasaurus out, Wardlow climbed the ladder and unhooked the title.

During the bout, Arn Anderson got involved, going after Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus tried to powerbomb Arn, but Arn bit his thumb. Wardlow eventually got to Luchasaurus, laying him across the table and climbing a ladder on the outside. Wardlow hit a swanton off the ladder and through Luchasaurus on the table.

The bout also featured a scary moment when Wardlow tried to springboard onto a set up ladder, but it gave way with Christian trying to climb it. Fortunately, all men were able to continue.

This marked the first successful title defense of the AEW TNT Title for Wardlow. He defeated Powerhouse Hobbs on the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite to start his third reign with the bout.
