Wardlow was the victim of theft, and everything in his car was stolen in the incident.
In a tweet on March 8, Wardlow revealed that his rental car was broken into, and everything in it, including his gear and the TNT Championship, was stolen. He said that his entire life was in the bags that were stolen. Wardlow then noted that he might have new gear on the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, and he will also have plenty of frustration to take out. He stated that he would still make it to the show.

Wardlow won the TNT Championship by defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Revolution on March 5. He is scheduled to defend the title against Powerhouse Hobbs on the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite. Hobbs earned the title shot by winning the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
