Wes Lee is back.
Wes Lee disappeared from NXT after leaving to go home following the September 12 WWE NXT, where he lost the chance to fight for the NXT Championship by losing to Ilja Dragunov. However, he's now back and has set his sights on a familiar prize.
After Dominik Mysterio successfully defeated Nathan Frazer to retain his WWE NXT North American Title, he was attacked by a returning Wes Lee, who picked up the championship he once held so dear.

Mysterio first defeated Lee to capture the title on July 18, 2023 but had help from Judgment Day. He has since lost the title and won it back from Trick Williams.
