Wheeler Yuta Says Mark Henry Came Up With Blackpool Combat Club Shirt Design

After battling Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson for weeks, Yuta proved himself on the April 8 episode of AEW Rampage when he had a bloody war with Moxley.

Despite losing, Yuta earned the respect of Moxley, Danielson, and William Regal, which gained him a spot into the Blackpool Combat Club. He put a stamp on the moment by writing the initials in blood on his chest. AEW would turn that moment into a t-shirt design with BCC written in blood on the shirt as the logo.

Speaking to Brandon Walker of Barstool, Yuta revealed that Mark Henry suggested the idea.

"Part of it is that we have the same philosophy. Violence. We're going to win by any means necessary in the ring. We're going to try and punish them," Yuta said about the BCC philosphy.

When it was noted that the Nation of Domination used the "by any means necessary," slogan, Yuta replied, "Mark Henry does like me. He suggested that shirt, the BCC shirt. That I wrote in my own blood, that we did it that way."

Yuta recently returned to the United States after competing in the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Tournament.

He will team with Eddie Kingston & Shota Umino at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door to take on Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, & Minoru Suzuki. Fans can check out the current lineup for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door by clicking here.
