Will Ospreay Wasn’t Cleared For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Says Lights Out Stipulation Allows Him To Still Wrestle

Will Ospreay reveals some big news ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

‘The Aerial Assassin’ kicked off Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite with a bang, getting a massive reaction from the crowd. After some light banter, Ospreay said that he hasn’t been cleared for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Ospreay tied it back to the Lights Out Steel Cage match, explaining that the stipulation allows for AEW to shed responsibility of the match. Ospreay went on to say that he plans on leaving everything in the ring at Forbidden Door, just in case he isn’t the same person after the pay-per-view.

Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir proceeded hit the ring to a big reaction. Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli eventually joined Moxley on the ring apron. Kevin Knight and ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey hit the ring to a massive reaction, helping Ospreay fight off the Death Riders. Hiroshi Tanahashi followed soon after, kicking off the match that pitted himself and JetSpeed against the Death Riders.
