Will Ospreay and EVIL punched their ticket to the quarterfinals of the New Japan Cup on March 13.

Ospreay defeated his United Empire running mate Mark Davis in the main event of the March 13 New Japan Cup event, scoring the win with the hidden blade. EVIL bested Jeff Cobb in the co-main event with Everything is EVIL.

EVIL and Ospreay will meet in the quarterfinals of the tournament on March 17.

EVIL defeated Ren Narita in the first round of the tournament while Ospreay received a first-round bye.
