Will Ospreay shares that he feared being even 50% of what he once was in the ring during his recovery from neck surgery.
In late 2025, Ospreay would undergo neck surgery that would keep him out of action until AEW Revolution, where he would return. However, during his time off, Ospreay was concerned about how he would return to the ring and if he could continue to be able to compete at the level he did prior to the injury.
While speaking during the latest episode of his Rebuild And Destroy vlog series, Will Ospreay spoke about the fear he had that he would not be even ‘50% of what he once was’ inside the ring.
“I am genuinely scared of coming back and being even 50% of what I once was. As long as at the end of it I’m still a decent dad, a decent lover, and just a decent human being, that’s the main things. But the thing that gets me up and the thing that makes me happy to be alive and happy to do what I’m doing is knowing that I can wrestle again.”
Elsewhere in the same vlog, Ospreay spoke about his home life still being there regardless of how well his professional career is doing. You can read more about that here.
